Well.....what a week!!!! I am now in California....San Diego to be precise!!! (No sim card yet but I am safe and well :-)

Phheeww....so we finished off New Zealnd with the North Island, had to fly from Christchurch to Wellington as we had miscalculated our dates - woops!!! and spent the last few days making our way to Auckland....lots of cool scenery, but sorry to say NOT a patch on the South Island (before I get lynched for that comment - we didn't stay at Rotorua or Taupo so thats probably why!!!)......Arrived at the backpackers to a commercial being filmed outside....clearly not a glamorous job after all....they were there ALL day!!! Glad I chose a different career to be fair!!!!

So....I am now in the states......Anj has been poorly for a while and decided to go home early....As Singapore & Thailand was next, I wimped out as I don't want to travel there alone....so I was lucky enough to be able to re-route my ticket via the States!!!! Pants that I won't meet Kaz...but we will have a girly one when I get back xxxx

Mum kindly called Aunty Lynn in California to say "how about a house guest.....in 2 days time!!!" To which Aunty Lynn was most obliging :-) So I arrived here on Monday....I am now 8 hours behind you....so gone from 13 hours ahead...interesting leaving Auckland on Monday at 7pm and arriving in LA on Monday at 11am!!!!!

I know you are used to me saying this now but WOW WOW WOW..... I am in the OC!!!!! Spent a lovely day with Lynn and Garry, saw James for the first time in about 15 years and boy those puppies are cute......then on Tuesday, Lynn and I spent the morning in Starbucks chatting and catching up....in the sunshine which was a very refreshing change after NZ!!!!! Good times :-)

At 3 Dena came to collect me (we met on the Magic Bus and she was already in LA), and we set off on our 2 week road trip.....starting at Laguna Beach and Newport Beach (for all you avid OC fans, yes we have been to Newport!!!!!!! - unfortunately Seth and Ryan were unavailable but we said we would call back!!!).......we then arrived in San Diego about 9ish in the evening, found somewhere to sleep, promptly got changed and went out in San Diego to wow them with our moves!!! I don't think they could believe their eyes!!!

Then, up early this morning, I cooked the "free" pancakes - not very well but they were free!!!! And we got on our way.....we have been to The Old Town (mini Mexico), Bilbao Park, Hillcrest & Coronado Beach today....whirlwind....we are rivalling Barbs on the pace of this tour!!!!.......such an amazing place....so beautiful.......

We are back at a hostel now and there is a guy playing Eric Clapton's "wonderful tonight" on his guitar and a girl singing with him on the stairs outside the computer room- sounds wicked.....

Anyway....the revised plan is that we will be spending tomorrow in San Diego and travelling back to LA for 1 night, then off to VEGAS for the weekend....back to LA for another night then off up the coast to San Francisco!!!! Can't wait!!!!

Then I will spend the last 2 weeks at Aunyt Lynns....a week with Zo YAYYYYYY!!! and a week of peace and quiet (hehe), and then HOME!!!! Can you believe it??? It feels like yesterday that I said goodbye....but on the other hand I cannot believe how much I have done over the last few weeks.............
