Since the last update the adventure really did continue. Onwards via the southern coastel road, through the catlins, stopping for walks out to a lighthouse with stunning scenery and more seals. The roads in parts just gravel tracks, but well worth the slow bumpy journey. So we boarded the ferry for the South Island and took the 3 hour sail to Picton through the stunning Marlborough Sound, whilst I had my nose in Harry Potter Pops was able to see dolphins. It was a gloriously sunny day and the scenery was spectular. Well the road trip began by leaving Auckland and heading to Rotarua where we all met up at a top ten campsite. After 2days apart Karen and I were glad to be reunited!!! Happy New Year to everyone, lets hope its a happy and prosperous 2008. New Years Eve in Auckland certainly was a great night, enjoyed by all we had a very good three course meal, wine, baileys and malt whisky! As the bells rang the fireworks were set off from the sky tower, lighting up the sky infront of thousands of people. A belated Merry Christmas to everyone, great to of spoke to you all and we have missed you all dearly over this festive period. So our time in Auckland so far has consisted of 2 weeks staying in a backpackers and working Christmas parties all over either waitressing or barwork, which has been great fun but odd to be back to the grindstone after such a long time off.
