Hope you have a great Christmas. Enjoy a summer Christmas. It is foggy, cold and damp here.
I liked the pictures of the dolphins. I did a trip to see dolphins and wales off San Diego and it was a fantastic thrill.
Happy Christmas

Hi Gem
Hi Great to read that you are still enjoying yourselves. It seems an age since you left - remember the picketing out of the back of Pacific House during the one day strike?
Your website update coincided with our Christmas meal in the Lunchbox. Do you remember this from last year? It was a little strange this year given all of the new faces now in the office and even stranger the past familiar faces who are no longer with us.
Continue to enjoy the rest of your trip. We are all very envious here.

I have been reading your New Zealand postcard. In the short time you were in that lovely country you saw a great deal which in its way was every bit as interesting as the more exotic sights of Latin-America. No doubt you were sorry not to be able to spend a longer time there but, as you say, Australia beckons.
I gather that Australia is having its worst drought in living memory, as well as some record-breaking temperatures. That of course means bush-fires, which have already killed numerous kangaroos and kuala bears. Hopefully you are well away from the most badly hit areas, and making the most of the Christmas build-up. We in the "frozen north" (ha! ha!) are approaching the Winter Solstice, after which the days gradually grow longer again . In Australia, of course, the reverse is the case, as the Summer Solstice approaches and preparations are made for Christmas celebrations on beaches in blazing heat. And yet, presumably, Santa Claus appears in his full winter uniform, and the tradition of eating hot turkey with all the trimmings, followed by plum pudding, is almost religiously upheld. It all seems crazy, and I think I prefer a northern Christmas is relatively cool conditions!
I send my sincere good wishes for a really happy Christmas (on the beach?) followed by a healthy and interesting New Year. I shall of course follow the rest of your experiences with great interest and eagerly await postcards and photo albums.
The English Premiership trace is very close, with Man U currently just two points ahead of Chelsea. Let us hope that when you set foot on British soil again next May, Man U are champions - but somehow I think that Jose Mourinho has other ideas! With that thought I leave you. Goodbye for now. Will be in touch again early in 2007.

Who are all these people?! Haha.
Bolivia sounded amazing. I'm jealous and wish I could have been there for the flamingos and steamy geysers. It must be so exciting and you're inspiring me to travel. This weekend Birmingham.
A couple of days ago I was on the train to Sheffield and ended up next to a group of Wednesday fans, including Richard. I unnerved him by calling across the carriage. 'I slept on your floor three years ago!'. He asked after you so I told him I thought you were well, but it was very rude of you not to have visited lately.
Is it New Zealand now? I'll start digging from Severn Street and meet you there in a day or two. Put the kettle on would you? The triplets will be parched. Have a blast until then you go-getter jetsetter red-letter girls you!

I gather that you have now left Latin-America for New Zealand but what fantastic memories you must have to see you on your way as you start Part 2 of your once-in-a-lifetime tour. I have several times read your account of your Incas experiences and almost wonder how you survived! In particular, the vertical climb up the steep steps made my hair ( or what remains of it!) stand on end. I am sure that , if I had been there, I should have tripped and fallen all the way down. That would have been "curtains" - and my funeral service would have had to be conducted in Peru, in Spanish! Incidentally, did you see anything of Paddington Bear in "darkest Peru"?
Enjoy your stay "Down Under". You are now of course back in a familiar culture and your spoken language now becomes English once again, but I am sure you will have a great time. Take care - and I shall be in touch again before Christmas.

Hey Gemma
How good can it get?
In case you didn't spot the scores, on Tuesday evening the mighty Shrimpers pummelled the nasty ManU in the cup that nobody actually cares about in England and then last night St J thrashed 'Gers at Ibrox 2-0 in the Scottish equivalent. That's £240 for a very cheeky £2.50 double!
Less importantly, they now don't trust us to use the back door at work and we recently heard the magnificent news that we'll get a Xmas bonus of £15 (less tax and NI, I guess). Firkin wunnerful, eh?
Keep on having fun
Andy
