We didn't have a long stay in Cannes seeing as we're leaving tomorrow morning for Barcelona but it could have been a lot shorter if we missed our train this morning. We literally couldn't have made it any closer but just managed to make it to our seats after having to run only to then be surrounded by screaming children, yay.
By the end of the journey I was fully prepared to strike a child but managed to refrain. After forking out more money to reserve what will be the last train I get, hopefully for a long, long time, we found our hotel literally across the road from the station which was boss. We then headed out to the beach which was only another two minutes away. At around 7:00pm and after making more progress on reading Game of Thrones than I have done in the past three months we went back to the hotel to get ready for food. On the way back we walked past a crowd of people taking photos of some guy in a hat which turned out to be Afrojack. I've never heard any of his songs but he looked like a k*** so that's probably why.
We walked past the Palais des Cannes and perused the hand-prints which were really annoying more than anything seeing as most of the celebrities insisted on just putting their fingertips in the imprint. Where's the sense in tha'? For tea we both got king prawns which were literally the biggest prawns I've ever seen and definitely picture worthy.
After tea we got ice cream and then realised how little money we had left after reserving the Barcelona train. We walked along the port looking at all the yachts and could hear the bass of s***ey Afrojack wherever you went.
If I had a yacht I'd bring it here. I would have liked to have stayed for longer but seeing as I'm running out of money fast and looks like I'm destined for bread and water in Barca, it's not really a good idea. Looking forward to Barca now but once again not the train journey which is going to be the longest yet; ten hours.
