Hi Gary & Dee; I've been so busy working long hours again so this is the first opportunity I've had to see all the lovely photos you've been taking! Wow! That one of the sunset was incredible! You look as though you are having an amazing time, what a journey. Its an inspiration to all! The weather has been really wacky here, we had rain, snow and hail all in one day but now the spring feeling has come back. Things are turning green, even saw some California Poppies today out on a scout! We are still behind with our rain but oh well what can you do. Received your birthday card, thank you so much. Turning 50 isn't so bad Gary! I just cried in my Gin & Tonic and it all got better! Miss you guys, Safe Travels. (Are you sure you don't need a film crew following you around?) Love to you Both, as always DAWN XXXX

Hi Dee & Gary,
Great catching up with your travels and we have just got back from 2 weeks holiday in the Gold Coast, so we know where you are heading. You must go up to the viewing deck of the tallest sky scraper called Q1 in surfers paradise on the Gold Coast, as the views from the top are fantastic and you can see the full 360 and even Brisbane in the distance which is a 100km away and you can get a nice cup of coffee. The lift goes up 79 floors in just over 11 seconds and is very smooth, all you feel is your ears popping. They also have some nice water parks which Gary will love why you catch some rays Dee. Wet N Wild, and the new Dreamworld WhiteWater Park, which i thought was better.
I am glad to see that Gary is still keeping the Body boarding going and is now into the fishing, all he needs to do is catch a few snapper and tell him to use some squid as bait as they love it. They are good eating as well on the BBQ.
Elaine and all the kids are well and we are all off for another week touring NZ again next week as we are going to Taranaki for 3 days and then onto Wellington for 2 days, finishing up at Taupo for another couple of days and then back home to Gulf Harbour, North Auckland. This will complete our full tour of the North Island which is not bad for our first 16 months living in NZ, whilst earning the daily bread.
Keep the pictures and blogs coming......
All our Love Gary, Elaine & all the Jackson Clan from NZ

Wow it seems like you have covered so much ground since you left old Blighty. We put the clocks on this last weekend, so the evenings are starting to pull out a bit. The weather at the moment is lovely too, however as per usual rain forcast for the weekend. You will find it so difficult to settle when you get back, how on earth do you improve on a trip like that, I can see you guys in Australia, Gary looks as though he is loving all the outside activities there. I am back to work tomorrow after 28 days off!!!!!!!!! Anyway everytime your emails come through I make sure that Derek sits and sees what you guys are up to, hoping to whet his appetite. Love to you both, keep enjoying.

Hi Guys, fantastic pics again 'keep em comin'. We've just had news that snow is on its way next week so the scarf and gloves will be back out - I can hear you laughing to yourselves!!!! Becky has just broken her collar bone at school so she's off the computer for now so my message is a bit boring (not good at the smiley faces and text language that the kids use). Keep on cruising and keep safe, love to you both.

Bit hot where you are we note. Its warming up here with temps like 16 this weekend - still a cold east wind though. Jackie, Jean, June and I have moved back to the city - Aldwych House in Bethel Street - nice and handy for M & S. Jackie is retiring this week but comes back next week on the bank. We are all going for a meal at Belgian Monk on Friday so we will be getting together with the NNUH lot again.

Just been viewing your latest photos and see they were taken today. Amazing. Good job that Gary didn't stand posing for the Zoo photo for too long Dee...as they might have been stocktaking. The old ones are the best eh? Jokes we mean...not you Gary. That's not to say you aren't the best.....although at 50....we guess you might now fall into the 'old' category?! (Pot / kettle). It's great to see you arrived in Australia safely and managed to find places that Gary remembers from his time there. Must have been strange to see the buildings you once knew still standing...but in an unfamiliar property landscape. Have a great journey to Cairns. Pity that they don't still do Greenshield Stamps. Take care. See you later this year for a Keo. Linda, Nigel & girls xx

Hello D & G
NZ looks so lush!! It seems like you're having the time of your life. It must be quite depressing to think that you will not be returning back to the UK to go to work but starting a new life for yourselves in sunny Cyprus. Never mind...we all have our crosses to bear. ;-) Enjoy the next leg in your RTW journey and take care!
