Hello again!
Hope you are all well and not too snowed in! Bet it's not as thick there as it was in California. A big hello to all our friends and family in Calfornia, who probably are very snowed in.....
Lots more new pics on both North Island and South Island albums.
Well here we are having made it safely back to the North Island. We stayed in Wellington (the capital city) for a few days, such a lovely city and you could park all day for just less than 5 pounds! We had a good walk around and visted Te Papa the cultural museum, which was fantastic. We travelled on another 450 kms to Waitomo Caves and the weather is still holding out. Waitomo Caves are famous for their glowworms, we took lots of pictures, but unfortunately they don't come out, but we've also enjoyed the stalagmite and stalegtite caves and the bush walks around the area, including a night walk to view all the glow worms by the river. The campsite we are on at the moment has a nice swimming pool and a hot tub, so we are just hanging out for a few days relaxing. We're then going back up north where Gary will do some diving and hopfully meet up with Karen and Bob (Gary's mum's cousin) on the way...and some very nice people we met in Napier who live North of Auckland (big hello to the Jackson family). We fly out to Adelaide on 24 February, shame it's only less than twoweeks away, so we shall be treasuring every moment we have left here before the next leg of our adventure begins.
Take care all, we miss you XXXX Gary and Dee XXXXX
