Firstly, hope you're all keeping well!
Here we are in Christchurch New Zealand(South Island) having successfully crossed the water by ferry.
New Zealand is amazing! The Kiwis are so friendly and we have met lots of lovely people - of all nationalities. Everything is well organised and there is lots and lots to see and do.
Since we last emailed, we have visited Rotarua (amazing smelly place with lots of volcanic mud and hot water pools) Lake Taupo, Art Deco and sunny wine country (hic hic) Napier, Wellington, Kaikaoura, Hanmer Springs and now Christchurch, which is a bit like a smaller version of Cambridge. The World Busker Event is on here so there's lots of street entertainment (Gary tried a bit of tap dancing, but it didn't draw much of a crowd....) we have seeen some great acts. Have seen loads of dolphins here (in the sea, not in Christhcurch) and we're now off further south to see the penguins.
There are lots of sheep here, but we I don't feel tooo guilty eating them, they looks as though they have a lovely life in those beautiful green fields. Please would someone send more supplies of mint sauce???
Anyway, pouring with rain here again, hoping for better weather. Tent is still holding up well and Dee has not booked into a hotel.....yet....
More pics soon, as usual, problems loading....Love to you all and miss you loads, get here if you can, as the song goes. Feel privileged to be here.
Lots of love Dee and Gary
