Welcome to Europe
Belgium is were the journey began. I met some nice friends I haven't seen since many years ago. My friend Pierre hosted me in Brussels in his home and Einar from Island was also there because he was studying his Master in piano in Maastricht (Netherlands) in the conservatory and was close to Brussels. He drove us to Dinant, about an hour away from Brussels, the lovely village where he grew up and where we met his parents, his mom cooked delicious crepes for us. At the afternoon we visited the Leffe Museum and learned a lot from a typical beer from Belgium. We were really tired so at night we just went to this nice, quiet bar.
Next day I made some mexican food for my friends, Lou also came over. We went for some sightseeing of the city, then to have some hot chocolate and at night I met my friend Maarten at his place, with his wife and a friend of his. We had some aperos and headed to Waff, a nice bar-club. We had some beers and shots, I had a lot of fun.
Next day we drove to Maastricht to drop Einar but in the way, we stopped at this really nice shopping mall, reminded me of a xmas village, the ones in the ball that snow when you shake them, it was really pretty.
Maastricht was really beautiful as well and there was the begining of carnaval season, which is in February but i never quite understood why they begin it so many months earlier. People were wearing costumes and drinking in the street. Looked like a lot of fun.
Then we went back to Einar's place and he played some piano for us. It was wonderful. I had an amazing time with really nice friends, they treated me incredibly great. Gracias!!
