Today I got to do the flight over the Nazca lines. This is something I have been looking forward to for ever, however with some trepidation as I had heard it was quite rough on those prone to motion sickness and considering my history with small planes I was worried. We are currently in the town of Pisco, which was pretty much devastated by an earthquake last year in which over 1000 people lost their lives. They are still rebuilding but there are signs of the damage the quake did, including the church with only half of its dome. Lima is a bustling city with a population of around 10 million people, and about the same again in car horns. They never stop. We crossed the border from Ecuador into Peru with no problems. We arrived at our destination of Punta Sal where we set up our tents out the front of a hotel on the beach. I survived the 3 nights camping on the beach although wasn't feeling best for 2 of the nights, so it was nice to pretty much do nothing for the 2 whole days we were there except for walk on the beach, swim and relax.
