Day 53.
Have left Cambodia. V sad to say goodbye to the kiddies but quite shameful how quickly I slipped back into the high life when I got to the luxury villa in Bali.
On my last day of school I got lots of pictures drawn for me. Most of them of me actually. Not sure why but in all of them I am a dead ringer for Anne Boleyn. Maybe they knew I was a big fan of The Tudors? The hair I can kind of get as I do have a middle part & these side bits that are shorter than the rest , but I don't remember rocking up to school in full doublet & hose (or whatever the lady equivalent is). Anyhoo, you will see them one day as I'm bringing them all home along with the paper crown which they actually glued straight into my hair, pipe cleaner flowers, and a splendidly resourcefully made necklace, crafted from a biscuit packet, that gave me a nasty rash.
I had such an amazing experience with those kids that there is no way I will never see them again. I just have to return in a couple of years to see how they're getting on.
So before I left the 'bodia I had my hair done. I was getting fed up with my chronic regrowth & went to see a nice Korean lady about touching up me roots. It could have gone so horribly wrong - I wouldn't recommend going to a hairdresser that you communicate what you want through pointing And it did occur to me that if all my hair fell out & I had to head to Bali as Gail Porter's doppelganger, legally, I wouldn't have a leg to stand on. However God love silent Korean hairdresser lady, she did a sterling job & it cost only 20 bucks. Result! Sandra, if you're reading this, please don't tell Heath.
Also before I left I had my 1st & last big night out in Siem Reap. The security man who had spent the last 6 weeks seriously disappointed in me for coming home at 9 30pm when everyone else was still out, had a priceless look on his face when me & my bicycle fell out of a tuk tuk at 2 am. My timing could have been better becasue after decorating the bathroom for most of the night, I nearly didn't make my early morning flight out. But I did & spent 5 blissful days at aforementioned luxury villa before heading to Gili Trawangan which is where I am now. It is a beautiful sleepy island off of Lombok - the next 1 to Bali - where the only thing to do is snorkel & snooze. Heaven. Merry Xmas one and all - Wish You Were Here! xxxx

Lest Arhhhhh!!! Those kids sound wonderful and can't wait to see all the pictures...plenty of white stuff over here and as usual the country has ground to a halt...a few days earlier and we would've got a few snow days!! If you get a chance try and track down an incident that happened in Washington DC when at a crossroads a snowball fight started..it was all very peaceful and lots of slapstick stuff until a snowball hit this guys Hummer..The guy was an off duty cop with no sense of humor...he only took out his gun and started waving it at the crowd! Anyway the crowd started to chant "You don't bring a gun to a snowball fight!"...it all ended peacefully with cop being relegated to desk job duties so that he could see the error of his ways. All this and Rage Against The Machine are the Xmas No.1...who said people power was dead. Merry Christmas Jo from the whole Noel gang..will see you when you get back home!! lots of love Lestxx
Hector Ktorides Hi Snow, just wishing you a happy Christmas really. You sound like you're having a brilliant experience. Paul and I are spending Christmas on our own with the animals. Alfie got done today and I feel so guilty for doing it to him. He's upstairs as I type this probably in pain and looking confused. Why did paul think it would be a good idea to do this to him at Christmas! Looking forward to the next blog. X
