Woke up at 6 and left for Pashupatinath, a short walk from Bodhanath, with Sonam. Despite being in Kathmandu, it felt like miles away - we crossed village-like places surrounded by rice fields and vegetable patches, a welcome change from the usual crowded, polluted and noisy centre.
