One of the many candles that light up at night during the load shedding (power cuts) - a great source of embarrassment for locals as Nepal is the second richest country in water supplies and has enough of it to power all of Asia, yet they still have to endure over 18 hours of weekly power cuts. These leads to great problems for industries, factories, offices and just about everybody. Moreover, most people are trying to overcome these problems by using generators powered with fossil fuel - with terrible consequences on the environment. Unfortunately the new government doesn't seem to be in any rush to develop more hydroelectricity stations...
