Looking back I seem to have completely missed our stay in crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary in Belize . This cannot be allowed as it was such an amazing place. We entered mexico last Monday without too much hassle. We have had to travel quite a long distance from the border at Chetumal as we have driven around the edge of Guatemala. I think that I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the ruins at Copan . They were truly stunning and the atmosphere was quite calm and peaceful. We crossed the border into El Salvador on Thursday with very little problem. We didn't even have to pay anything at all. Jose was there to meet us and then we followed him to the turn off for Suchitoto. This is a really lovely town right by a huge artificial lake that was created in the 80 s.
