Having left Tierra del Fuego we crossed the straits to Punta Arenas and then spent the night on the port in a convenient car park. We arrived in Puerto Natales and found the campsite in the middle of town. Bizarrely we were right next to the French family we have kept seeing since we left Buenos Aries, their motorhome was on the same boat. They have 2 small children of 3 and 18 months and look about 25 themselves! We keep comparing where we have been and what it was like and I am loving the opportunity to speak French. For the last 4 days we have been in the Torres del Paine national park. Unbelievably we have had hot sunny weather the whole time. it is an amazing place with lots of beautiful lakes of blues and greens and high snow topped mountains. We have done some challenging walks including 8 hrs today up to the actual towers. i'm shattered now. tomorrow we will leave the park and head further north towards El Calafate where we will visit the Glacier. We saw condors and even some deer today .
