Hello everybody, we have just got back from doing our Whitsunday island sailing tour. It was brilliant and the things we saw were amazing. We did a lot of snorkelling and even helped out with the sailing! The plan did go a bit wrong... due to the incompetence of the 'Oz Experience' and their buses- we were left in a position where we would not get to Airlie Beach to catch our boat, apparently the drive from Hervey Bay to Airlie Beach was NOT 2/3 hours! We were left with only one choice which was to catch an external bus, extra cost and serious discomfort!! The bus journey actually took just over 12 hours and it was overnight so we didn't get a wink of sleep! Oh well, it was all worth it in the end... In a few days we will move up to Townsville and from there go to the Magnetic Islands and then Cairns. Will keep you all posted! xxxxxxxx
