Our apartment overlooks Edinburgh Castle so the morning cuppa included a lovely, if misty, view. We took off through the 'old town' down the Royal Mile (a UNESCO world heritage site) past all the tourist shops. Another big breakfast before heading on the road again. The first thing we see...Inverness Castle before driving into Carrbridge for petrol. We woke up this morning to a clear, but overcast day - still a bit chilly (14 degrees), but nothing the cardi can't fix. The view of the loch from our B&B was outstanding - crystal clear reflections reminding me of Hobart.Breakfast was so good we didn't bother with lunch (even Anthony!!). We had breakfast in a lovely cafe in Glasgow. I ordered the French breakfast with eggs, bacon, mushroom and boudin noir. On arrival of the meal I looked at the strange black crusty item on my plate and suspected that it might be black pudding (being in Scotland) but I thought 'what the hey' may as well be adventurous!
