I was busy finishing my book, and this coffee didn't hold my attention long enough for me to want to review it. It was a standard hotel coffee; a little hot and not tasty enough for us to finish even one between us. The barista earns it further minus points for twice asking whether we wanted skimmed milk (it's Christmas pal, give us a break!). And he had terrible hair. Alice "tastes like a 15 minute wait, with no breakfast"Context. The Coogee pavilion informed us breakfast service was over at 11.00. We turned up at 11.05, and then waited 15 minutes for the takeaway coffee. Not a good start. A rather monotone effort, that was fairly palatable. Issue here was probably the blend of the roast. A bit confused. All in all, a good strong coffee, but could have had a better 'journey' and/or a tastier monotone flavour.

From a posh restaurant where we celebrated Christy's 30th, this coffee was a big disappointment. I suspect we're about to pay an arm for this, also. Wayyy too much foam. Furthermore, it wasn't microform. It was proper foam. It was a cappuccino, basically. Taste was average. A very dark roast, but not interesting. Just burnt. Caffeine was needed though.

So... this is Christmas!Awoke in our very lovely Coogee Crown Plaza hotel, courtesy of Chris. We have a gorgeous view of the beach (it has a balcony!!), and although it's initially overcast, the sun starts to peep out. We can also spot Chris' fishing club from our window.
