Hello once again everyone! Here we are on our second last day in Mauritius before heading home ... it's really nice here, but we think the first place we stayed in was better ... Not that we're complaining.
Left Cape Town 2 days ago, went up to the top of Table Mountain, was amazing views, could see Robben Island so clearly (where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned), was awesome! Didn't, I repeat didn't get to go abseiling, booked in for a 9am abseil and at 10.15 they were still setting up and we were on our way to the bottom of the mountain via cable car and getting ready to head to the airport, bit of a w*** but not too fussed - done lots of other awesome things, so all good.
Getting excited about coming home, got lots to catch up on; Linde, that's amazing re. near on finishing - can't wait till you do, definitely getting the cheese and wine/cougar ready for that one!!! Want to know how dad's backyard make over is going/went? Also, Zinks - how's the vegie garden going, have you been living off the land?, and Moldo - how's your garden going, and you palm trees, can't wait to see them .. and Kain-man, apparently your garden is going nuts, so gonna have to get the round-up onto that, can't have a 3 year old having a better vegie garden than us! How's the fence going at the Swenson house? How's Mel and Ginza's house coming along, and how are you going Mel??? How is the new Daly farm going, and Amzo ... how are you doing, hope bubbles is still nicely tucked up in your tum waiting for us to get home! Glad to hear Regan's christening went well, bet she's grown so much since we left! Also Shell, keen to hear about the shop - what Demetrios dress was it, I've got my ideas, but wanna know which one ... as far as the surprise goes, Shell ... ekkks! We've been thinking and we think we've got it narrowed down to 3 things;
1 - You're pregnant
2 - You've sold/burnt down Elan
3 - While we've gone you've had the Backyard Blitz crew come in and make over our house, and they are going to pick us up at the airport with a limo, and champagne and stuff (ooh, really hope it's this one!!!).
Dann ... gotta add, I think you're gonna need to book out a week when we get back, imagine 31 days on camp, limited showers - most cold when avail, 10 hour drives in a truck with all the windows down, and I ran out of conditioner about a week into the trip and apparently Africa doesn't know what 'conditioner' is, got lots of shampoo, but conditioner is actually body wash!!! Ekkks .... he he, and we are going to Sale Cup when we get back - lovely!!!! :)
Also a big hello to Sue who I hear is keeping up with updates as well now, hope it's bringing back some memories for you, and hope we've done Africa justice in our blogs, he he!!! Geordzo, how did you survive the rates installements!!!! Been thinking of you ...
Also, Frankie - Fluke wants to book out some time to come up and go fishing, when you're free!!!
Well this will prob be our last update, can't put photo's on here, so prob wont be any more till we get home, which is only in a couple days anyway .. so will see you all then!
Love Spud and Fluke
p.s ... mum, we are hoping to stay at Rosedale the night we get back, hope that's ok!!! As if it's not ... xxx
