Emma's Travels
1/10/06 - Got up around 10.30am, still feeling a little tired, had another lovely breakfast. Have sorted out my coach bookings for next legs of trip to Sydney, then Canberra, then Melbourne and also my accommodation bookings. Need to look into getting a flight back to Brisbane from Melbourne for the wedding, otherwise if I take the coach it will take me about 2 days!!!!!! Looks as if can get good deals around 60 quid for a flight.
Then I'll have just enough km's left on my Greyhound Bus Pass to get me back down the coast from Brisbane to Sydney after the wedding.
Went into town about 5pm and had lovely fish and chips. Got back to Beachouse around 7pm and watched Rugby Final between Brisbane and Melbourne, Brisbane won.
2/10/06 - Up at 9.30am and had another lovely breakfast at the onsite restaurant. The staff here are soooo lovely. I finished reading the book 'My Sister's Keeper' by Jodi Picoult and I actually cried, the ending was not what I was expecting at all. Nikki you were right it is a fab book! The lovely waiter came over to see if I was alright, he could obviously see me wiping my eyes! A good read, highly recommend it!
I now have 3 books to exchange, there are plenty of book exchange shops over here for us traveller's.
Have emailed some family members in Melbourne (who I have never met!) to see about meeting up when I'm there, just need to wait for replies now! I've also emailed Peter Stewart in Sydney, as he has already contacted me and told me to definitely let him know when I get there. It will be good to catch up with him.
Having trouble uploading any new photos, all the PC's lately don't seem to have the right connections - I will keep trying!!
Went into town later on and had some yummy nachos, then I bought 'The Big Little Book of Yoga'. Watched The Simpsons when I got back, very funny episode. Started reading my new yoga book, then fell asleep around 9pm.
3/10/06 - Yummy breakfast again, then did some washing and hung it out to dry, there is a lovely breeze today but still warm, but a bit cooler than it has been. Went into town to see if I could exchange my books, but couldn't find anything that took my fancy, so I came back with the books, will look what Sydney shops have instead.
At 1pm I went for a 2 hour pamper session!! First hour I was in a salt water flotation tank. This was a bit weird at first, as you are totally encased in the tank, but I soon got used to it and the hour flew by! After that I had a full body massage with a lady called Elizabeth and I have to say that it was the best massage I have had by far!!! (sorry Julie!) She was so thorough and I just melted into the table, everyone who saw me afterwards commented on how 'blissful' I looked. Money well spent and a bargain, 25 quid for the 2 hours!!!
Off to a talk tonight in town by some yoga/life coach person, sorry, don't know more than that yet, just thought I'd go along as it's free and see what it's all about. I will then make an effort to go to bed early again, as off to Sydney tomorrow, a 13 hour coach journey!
