So after being in bonito, we went to Pantanal this was a massive swap like area with loads of wildlife, it was so good. We stayed on a ranch, in the middle of the swap and as you walked to the rooms there were crocodiles on the path, we had bonfires every night to keep some of the mosquitos away and slept in hammocks it was a really unusal and funny experience listening to people fall out was really funny as well. On the second day we were there i went horseback riding and wading acroos the swap with the crocs only a few metres away at times and with piranhas in the water as well, the on the last day we went fishing and tried and failed to carch some pirahnas for lunch.
Im now in boliva, we went here straight after the Pantanal its really different here, we stopped at santa cruz just for a night as a break in the travelling and went out for the night i cant belive how cheap it is, only 50p a pint and then travellled to Sucre.
Sucre was fantastic so much to do and the city is so picturesque, i went to see dinosor footprints one day these were really strange set in volcanic rock as the dinosors went into a lake to drink, and then the next day went on a 90 km quad bike ride over the mountains along the dirt tracks up to a peak of 4000m the views were breathtaking, only problem was a crash i had, was kind of scary, but dont worry im ok now, and the torrain was so difficult by the end of the day only 2 out of 9 bikes hadnt broken down at some point, this is probably the best day and experience of the trip so far tho, im now in a little mining town called Potosi its the highest city in the world and tomorrow im travelling to the salt flats which sound brilliant and first im going into the mines to meet the people and see how they work, i cant wait but think its gonna be kinda scary sounds similar to potholling to get in there as well so should be fun.
I tried some really authetic bolivian dishes as well last night i had Llama steak, its kind of like beef but a bit sweeter and today i had beef tongue wrapped in red pepper was really good
