Don't want to keep banging on but I am having such fun but this writing lark is hard work and I'm only penning a few words! God knows how Shakespeare managed, he mustn't have had any time for anything else, still it's keeping my brain active.
Spent the last few days travelling up north taking it easy at a steady pace covering about 200 miles a day which is about 5 hour coach journeys, stayed overnight in 2 places Sibu and Bintulu before arriving in Miri on Thursday.
The travelling here is easy, efficient and comfortable on luxury coaches with reclining seats and the views crossing the country are wonderful. Each place here in Malaysia has it's own china town and it's confusing at times what country you are in.
Visited Lambir Hills national park today, apparently it produces the greatest known level of plant biodiversity on the planet, now I haven't got a clue what that means but dozens of international scientists are permanently stationed there.
What I do know is I have never seen such beauty, I took a self guided trek through the park which was fairly easy to follow and felt I was walking on the moon as the sense of total freedom took over me, I was completely awestruck by what I saw.
I stood and stared at the waterfall for ages and was completely alone in the middle of this rainforest with just the sounds of nature to keep me company, it wasn't until after about 20 minutes I saw another person.
Once again the people here are so nice, nothing is a problem for them.
Will be here for a few days before I fly to Mulu it's only 30 mins by plane but it's only accessible by air as it's in the middle of nowhere with no roads.
