First full day in Thrissur turned out to be quite eventful and extremely fulfilling one, its a busy town and worlds apart from Varkala.
Got up early done my Yoga and had breakfast at the famous Indian Coffee House chain, its Indian equivalent to Starbucks but they charge 8 rupees (12p) for a coffee! 2 eggs on toast, tomato sandwich and tea for 38rp (60p).
Went to a Church lit 3 candles, next stop was a temple, thats one of the many wonders of India its all embracing and acceptance of different religions.
Locals kept talking to me and are as friendly here as in varkala, one turned out to be a news reporter who wanted to interview me, of course he could have been anybody
but I put my faith in him. He took me to a local school and cultural centre and introduced me to the teachers. The kids at the school are so enthusiastic even though the amenities
are very basic. Then went to his office for the interview which was highly entertaining as the language barrier made it a bit tricky.
Apparently I will be in todays paper with my photo, unfortunately its in Malayam language so they could be saying anything about me.
Not seen a white person since arriving in Thrissur, oh and yeah there was a monkey on a roof about 10 yards from window, fortunately there are bars on my windows.
Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom
