Forster Happy birthday to Julianne, Nancy & Lisa (Kirby) today. This morning taken up driving and walking to the many lookouts over the ocean. We saw and followed a large pod of bottlenose dolphins around the coast at each of our lookout stops along the way. Port Macquarie - Taree - Forster We headed to Forster for our next stay of 7 nights. We stopped off at Taree on the way for breakfast, had a walk around as we are early for check-in at Forster. Arrived at Forster Holiday Village and checked in early. Nice unit and all amenities provided. A drive to Woolies to stock up for the week - very similar pricing to Melbourne. Coffs Harbour - Nambucca heads - Port Macquarie Easy drive to Nambucca heads - not as large a place as we thought but still quite nice. Went to Capt. Cook lookout and saw some whales in the distance. Mermaid Beach - Coffs Harbour We get up and on our way around 9am. First is a remembrance trip to Cavill Ave and Surfers Paradise in general. A good walk around, a look at Focus, the beaches etc and on our way via Dawn Parade Miami, Kallay Street where Nance & Graham lived all those years ago. Check out the photo section - Fantastic Zoo Highly recommended. Long straight stretches of road this section of our journey. We arrived at Dubbo around 9.30am and straight to the zoo to purchase our tickets. Find our motel and then on to a café for breakfast. Back to the zoo and must say was very impressed, fantastic atmosphere and living quarters for all the animals.
