Legoland, our last ride based theme park....and another scorching day. We packed the girls bathers and headed straight to the water park section of Lego, stopping on the way for a quick drive of some bumper style cars. At the water park we grab the girls bathers from the bag to discover only Sienna's. It would appear that a quick stop to the in park shop is needed and we purchase bathers for both Talari and me so we could all cool off. After an hour or so of slides, rivers and fountains we changed back into our gear and headed off to tackle the Legoland map!!!
The girls went on most rides with Wess or by themselves and I did a few. They both had a go at a ride called Knights Tournament where they were strapped into a two person seat on the end of what is best described as a robotic arm. It sort of looked like they were being held by a giant robot up in the air. Wess took it in turns to accompany them and with each ride you can choose A or B style ride and then 1-5 level of action. Sienna was only allowed ride B but Talari went for ride A with level 3. The 'arm' then proceeds to wave about in the air, up and down, angled, swoops, upside-down, all over the place really. It was very cool to watch and plenty of screams could be heard from the riders. Talari loved it and she thought that level 3 was enough for her. Sienna's ride, as it was the B ride didn't go fast at all and didn't spin upside down at all so she was a bit disappointed.
We spent a bit of time looking at the Lego worlds that have been created and although they are looking quite dirty and oldish they are still very clever and we took photos of the girls with the New York skyline, Las Vegas and Eiffel Tower just for fun. The Star Wars area was also very clever with scenes from all six films and various characters.
Today didn't involve quite as much walking and although there were still lines to wait in it was less exhausting and with a shorter drive home we decided to stop in at the Cheesecake Factory for dessert and coffee. Sienna was quite excited as this is the restaurant chain that the characters frequent in Big Bang Theory. Unfortunately, our waitress wasn't called Penny but the food was delicious and the serves huge.....think we will definitely have a proper meal here while in the states.
Another really great day with the welcome addition of the water fun as well. The girls now have a renewed interest in Lego and I suspect their blocks will surface at some point when we return home.
Seaworld tomorrow.....maybe no lines!!! We'll see.....
