Well arrived yesterday morning after a 12 hour flight which was fine. Couldn´t sleep so spent the whole time watching all the latest flicks and talking to a Spanish couple I was sitting next to. A few observations thus far

1. I should have learnt Spanish before I came, this is making things interesting already

2. The locals are super friendly and helpful, even if I don´t speak Spanish

3. Went out last night to this crazy drum show (AMAZING and $4 for 1 litre beers) anyhoo I have never seen so many HOT people in the one place. GEEZ LOUISE!

4.I´m def not in Australia anymore that´s for darn sure, just trying to figure out how things work as I haven´t a clue, when you go to the bar you have to buy drink tokens and then use them to get drinks

5.It´s all meat and pastries so far. Already crazing fresh fruit and vegies and am off to find a market today so I can cook for myself the next few days.

6. All the travel warning s I´ve heard have made me paranoid. I was lost at the airport trying to find my shuttle and I asked this guy and he insisted on showing me and carrying my bags. I was convinced he was going to steal them etc. so didn´t let him but found out he was only trying to help and the people here really go out of their way to help you.

7. I´ve made a few friends so far and have been going out with a New York ex Morman girl, interesting. Anyway meet tons of people, so many young tourists here from US, UK and Aus.

8. First night no electricity and no water which was great using a blocked toilet at 3am in the dark
