Hey Nat, I am sure you are already aware, but your 'room today' desperatly is in need of some more furniture and an interior decorator but thanks for sharing :)
Gramma O'neill
Hi Sweetie. Gramma wanted to send you this little message to let you know I am thinking of you every day. You mom read me all of your journal entries(I'm the grandma without the computer remember!) It sounds like the countryside and the beaches are beautiful. I just want to say be careful of that sun and those monkeys!
You will probably feel a little homesick for the first few days but by next week everything will be just fine.
I'm sorry I can't speak with you in Spanish, but English is the only language I know. You can teach me a few phrases when you return.
Your mom said you might phone me from there sometime and that would be great. I'd love to hear from you.
I'll say good bye now but if you want to send me any emails your mom can read them to me over the phone.
lots of love,
Gramma O'Neill

Hey Natalie, I agree with your Aunt Cate on the sunburn. I burned areound my eyes one year and I still have to take extra precaution with the area. I was, foolishly, sitting in the sun reading with my magnifying reading glasses on!
Also agree about the Spanish. It's a little daily test to understand what you have written.
And, by the way, we have sunshine here today also. Of course, the temperature is about 70 degress F less!
I let Rob know that you took 1/2 his advice and are going away to U - just not in medicine. If you get a little squeamish around needles, not the place to be :)
Hey, is this the best way to contact you or by e-mail? Or, does it make any difference except that everyone gets to read my notes?
Anyway, do take care but have lots of fun.
Aunt Cate
Hey sweetie,
I must say a clean casa makes all the difference in the world!! (See, even I'm learning a bit of Espanol!) If nothing else, you are taking control of your situation and that puts you in a much better frame of mind. My fingers are crossed that your next home is a step up from where you are now.
I'm glad school is easier for you. Your teacher sounds great and you will learn much more when you're not feeling overwhelmed.
Please BE CAREFUL with the sun! Tanning is good but you can have too much of a good thing, especially in the first week.
And no worries, I will enjoy the comfort of your room while I'm in London but I know your mattress is offered for a "limited time only!"
Take care hon. I'm thinking about you all the time and right now I'm giving you a big, long-distance hug!
Lots of luv,
Aunt Cate and Misty

¡Hola Princesa! ¿Que paso, amiga? So excited for you, trip sounds completely fabulous. Don’t worry about the homesickness, the first few days are always a little disconcerting. Just a bit and you’ll be totally comfortable. Your location sounds like a storybook setting, grab big chunks of it and savor every moment. As the years go by it will be the adventures you remember clearly, and that make the best stories. You’re in my Favorites list, so look forward to reading of your adventures and hopefully seeing some photos. ¡Que lo pases bien!

Hey Nat,
I am sooo envious!!! It sounds simply wonderful even if I can't swim. And don't get tooo discouraged about speaking Spanish. Bridget is fluent in Francais and it only took 14 years. This advice of course comes from someone who is hopelessly at a loss with a 2nd language - French, Spanish or otherwise.
Take care, good luck tomorrow and don't forget your sunscreen!
love you lots,
Aunt Cate

Hi Baby Girll!!! It was great to read your travel diary and hear that today was much better than yesterday! Way to go!
Sounds like the beach is a wonderful place to escape to, and I understand that as a Pisces more than ever.
Hang in there with the Spanish lessons...afterall that's one of the main reasons you are there, and by that i don't mean coming back ready to work at Taco Bell
hugs Chicita,
Mom
