We booked to do the white water rafting with Kagay tours the day before. Thanks to Ms Abigail (09234730536) who patiently explained to my parents everything about water rafting.
Kagay guides picked us up at the hostel at 7am and went on a 45-minute jeepney ride to the starting point. When we were on the jeepney, our river guides offered us the advance water rafting level as the water level that day is normal. Each raft can accommodate six passengers and two river guides but in our case, there was only one guest and two guides. We were hesitant at first to take the advance level but the guides said, it's fine (it was actually better) for non-swimmers like us to go on water rafting as we wouldn't try to swim in case we fall into the raging white waters.
So, we agreed to take on the challenge! It was a 4-hour rafting adventure for 1000Php for each of us and 300Php for the video and picture coverage.
Right after rafting, we ate our lunch and drove back to the city, waited for the cd containing our pictures and videos and headed to catch the Rural Transit bus from Cagayan de Oro to Davao City for 10 hours (500Php regular fare; and 400Php for students)
