Soooo...It's the 10/3/09! I've been in the US of A for a grand total of 3 days.

First stop was LA...Massive Metropolis which would take me at least a year to get used to! Arrived at bout 2:30pm, got into my room at Orbit Hostel and it was empty apart from some bags scattered across the floor! I decided to take a walk and find a starbucks, asked a girl for directions and she turned out to be a german girl called Veronica! She's here for 2 months working with a woman on the german version of In Style Magazine and went to an aftershow party at the Oscars for the German film which was up for nomination!

I then went back to my hostel for a nice long sleep, met 2 german girls who didnt seem too keen to chat so left them to it! Got awoken by a bloke called Adam who turned out to be really friendly and made me feel a bit better in the morning once I'd got up, turnt out hed been travelling for 11 and a bit months and was going home the enxt day! I decided to go on a city tour done by a guy called Cal who was really cool. On the tour I met Sophie was just starting out on her own like me, and a girl called Claire who'd already been travelling for 7months. On the tour we went to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, not as good as I'd imagined but glad I did it, saw the Chinese Theater, then had a drive up to the hills to see the Hollywood sign which was beautiful, then a drive round the celbe homes! Micheal Jackson, the Beckhams, Jackis chan, THE Playboy Mansion, and the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to name a few! We drove to Venice beach and had an hour and a half there, and had a look at Muscle Beach which wasnt that intriguing i have to admit!

We then took a drive to Rodeo Drive, had a look in Jimmy Choo's which was depressing to say the least!!! Then we drove back to the hostel to chill out and get ready for the evening. I'd decided to go to the Sunset Strip for dinner with Claire and Sophie and a guy called Ryan joined us. We went to the Rainbow bar which is notorious for rock stars in La, the likes of Axel from Guns N Roses and many more; turns out Jack Osbourne likes it there as we bumped into him on the way out once we'd left.

The guy that cme with us was from Arizona and was in the process of moving out to Hollywood to kick off his acting career. He'd already starred inMystic River with Clint Eastwood, and had been doing commercials and such since he was a baby, so that was good!

I was shattered and got into bed at midnight and slept thru till 8am, got up and decided to go to the Warner Bro's studios with Claire which was good, as we got to see part ofthe Friends set which was good, and had a tour of where it used to be filmed ad where 2 and a half men is filmed. We also got into the costume museum and saw the last costume Heath Ledger wore as the joker in The Dark Knight, which was very memorable!

Although it was a good day it was ruiined by the lack of efficiency of the buses, which i guess i should be used to from the UK, but nonetheless it was more than annoying. We decided to travel to San Fran the same night and managed to get on the Greyhound at 10:25pm and trek it all the way to San Fran and arrived at about 5:45am and found the hostel we're currently in The Green Tortoise!

Me and Claire are gonna stay here for a few days, the main thing i want to do is see Alcatraz, and then hopefully manage to get a flight to Las Vegas for a decent price!!
