Today I caught the bus with the intention of doing a 17 km circular walk out of Tunbridge Wells and back. I started by checking out The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells, which is a really cute old fashioned shopping area. Today we went to Hartfield to see the woods that inspired A.A. Milne to write Winnie the Pooh in the 100 Acre Woods. Aunty Brenda, Aunty Joan and I took the bus, cause the OAP's get it free. So it took us an hour to get there, and we stopped for a very nice lunch at a pub called the Hay Waggon. We stopped at the shop "Pooh Corner" and got a map which is when we found out how far of a walk it was to Pooh Bridge. 40 - 60mins each way. I was going anyway...

Today I took the train to Arundal to visit the still lived in castle. Walking from the train station to the city centre the castle dominates the skyline. Its a quaint little town with antique shops, cafes and pubs. Walking through the castle was amazing. The stairs were far easier than Warwick Castle & there wasn't many twirly stairs. Today I headed into London for the Notting Hill Carnival. It is a huge colourful event. The parade was still going after 2 and a half hours. At a certain point i did rename it The Flab Fest cause some of those women should not have been wearing those outfits in public. I tried some jerk chicken and a bean and rice dish. I went to Crawley's Irish festival. A very good family fun day untill it rained. Lana won a couple of Trophy's and medals at the feis. Then everything got wet. So we all went back to Jane's. Connor was supposed to make a round of hot drinks, he needed 3 teas and a coffee. He had to boil the Kettle twice cause he took so long the water had gone cold. Most entertaining tea maker ever.
