Hello!! Well here is a brief description of my time in Fiji. I got here on Wed 30th Jan, thinking it was gonna be a beautiful paradise...but hell was I wrong!! We could see from the plane as we were landing that the island was severely flooded in many places, and later on found out that there had been a cyclone the day before. Lush! Anyway, we were knackered from travelling for 30 hours so just got a taxi to our hotel (aquarius pacific) and freshended up. Lauren, Dave and Luke were stranded on the Robinson Crusoe Island due to the storm, but later that afternoon they managed to get back to Nadi and so we went to their hotel to meet up with them (nadi bay). Had some dinner and generally just hung out. Next day weather was still awful which means theres not alot to do in Fiji, so for the hell of it we walked 5KM to the airport, and changed our flights so we were leaving Fiji next Tues 5th feb, as the weather wasnt supposed to be improving here. Loz, luke and dave managed to get a flight out the next day, lucky b******s. So......we decided to stay at their hotel (nadi bay) cos we preferred it to aquarius, spent a day chillin out there by the pool, then on Saturday we went on a day trip to Mana Island...luckily the sun was kind of shining when we got there so I could take some nice pics...had a pretty good day. Went snorkelling in the clear turqouise water and saw some beautiful tropical fish. The weather turned really nasty towards the end of the day & the boat trip back to Nadi was really rough which i did NOT enjoy!!! Anyway that night we stayed in a different hotel again...the nomads skylodge, which is by far the best and cheapest one of the three...which is pretty lucky seeing as we've just gotta hang around here til we leave on tuesday!!
