Day 1 - Dubai darling! Once arriving in our pink taxi, dumping our bags, sucking up all the wifi at Arabian Park Hotel... We head to the mall. Dubai mall! Taxi man this time, no pink lady, mr taxi man wants to make extra money. So after ignoring where we want to go, testing our navigation skills by heading towards where HE thinks we should go - Minnie tells him who's boss and quickly exits on an off ramp and heading back to our mall.
After our quick and expensive tour of the high rise sand city, we are at the mall. Water features everywhere and we haven't even entered the building. Jewellery shops, ally ways, never ending all ways, ceilings full of decorations.. Endless decoration. Levels and levels of shops... Heaven! We meet with Minnie's friend, Natasha. Beautiful kiwi girl living here due to emirates employment, along with 17,000 others she later informed me!
We head to an outdoor cafe bistro for granola and Greek yoghurt while viewing the skyline, miniature compared to the tallest building in the world towering over us!
Once full, we checked out some shops, a 2 story fish tank and yet another water feature, we head back to our hotel. This time half the price :)
Now by the pool and waiting for our shuttle to the 4wd camel safari!
