when we landed in sydney Dom, another one of jess' mum's friends picked us up from the airport. we had breakfast with their little girls and hten went for a nap as we were exhausted. bad idea. we felt like death when we woke up. we walked down to the opera house and the sydeny harbour bridge and walked accross. teh views were amazing and we saw blokes blowing their didges. in the evening we watched some ozzy tv with dom.
so i will continue the update. the second day in sydney me and jess took the ferry over to manly, a different part of sydney which is famous for its wicked fish and chips. the beach was gorgeous and we sunned ourselves a bit. in the evening we had prawn curry. yum, had a dangerous spider lesson from emma (doms wife) and drank lots of wine with emma. fun times.
on the seventh we went into the centre to watch the mardi gras. gay fest. it was pretty funny but i thought it was quite tame compared to pride in london. fun none the less. and i bought a dress ive wanted for ages which was a bit above the old backpacker budget but i treated myself. when we got back emma and dom had friends over. when they left dom cooked us some really yummy steak on the barbecue:D
on the sunday dom and emma took us and their little girls to see the blue mountains which was quite a drive. we had a posh pasta lunch then went and perved the mountains which were pretty impressive. it was quite nerveracking as their kids are at runaway age and the fences were tiny. we also visited bondi beach, the weather wasnt great but it was still pretty fun. as it was a saturday loads of kids were there having lifeguard lessons so they put on quite a show for us. it was also a laugh making sandcastles with pheobe and olivia.
when we got back i took a taxi to keiths. it was proper pissing it down. my taxi driver was really nice and started telling me about his life dreams and stuff:P when i got to keiths there was a massive thai dinner laid out keith had cooked up. hes become a pretty b****ing cook. sounds to me like he has daddish cooking tendancies,ie gets drunk listens to music and cooks. his mrs is super nice (and a bit of a fox) and really chatty:p His kids have got a whitton pikey child look about them:P especially keeka who is seven and is a bit of a tomboy. me and her made lots of origami stuff. we're now best friends:D his eldest, Paris, is a bit of a handful. shes 14 and is a proper teenager. shes already heavily into drinking, going out late and having tantrums but she was nice anyway. justine said her dad lives near aukland on a fruit farm and lets travellers stay at his place for free in exchange for work so thats an option coz justine said shed put in a good word for us:) they are also going to be in nz when im there so we're ghoing to keep in touch so i might stay with them a few nights there. legends!!!
