Another early start and toast on the campfire for breakfast before we set off for Warburton, another aboriginal community. We view the art centre, an initiative set up by the Australian Government to generate an income for the Aboriginese people by selling their artwork.
We then visit a meterological centre in Giles, a central station where Australia's weather is monitored and reported (by the balloon thing in the picture). Not something that I can write masses about as I have to say I felt like I was back in year 9 Geography lessons and automatically switched off. Sorry Dad and Olly!
It is here that we cross over into the Central Australia timezone so add an hour and a half to our watches therefore complicating matters further when I want to phone home! It is also today that we notice a significant rise in temperaure and things will get much hotter as we head further into the centre. Time to bring out the factor 30 to protect my poor English skin!
We arrive at our final bushcamp of the trip and are pleasantly surprised to find a cold water shower erected by a previous visitor. It may be a hose out in the open but what luxury!
