Hey guys we are back from Sydney!! We had an amazing time. On the first three nights we stayed in a youth hostel called footprints. We had a 6 people room. It is quite hard to settle into the roughing it lifestyle!! On the first night we made really good friends with a girl called Lisa from England in our room and we decided to visit the Blue Mountains so the three of us got hthe train. When we arrived we found out our train ticket also included the tour bus which you could hop on and off allowing you to explore the mountains at your own pace. We got off at a place called the three sisters. Which are three old rocks which have an interesting aboriginal story to them. We climbed down 1000 steps. 1000!! The steps wrer cut into the rock of the mountain and had been worn down over time so it was quite dangerous. Alot like being Indiana jones. When we got to the bottom we started our 2 and a half hour trek through the mountains. It was reaaly fun. Half way round Sians flip-flop snapped. So the three of us were standing in the forest trying to fix it with a corkscrew!!! In the end we decided to wrap hairbands around her foot and attach it that way! She looked hOT! When we finished we hopped back on the bus and went to Georges lookout which had fantastic views. The photos really dont do it any justice. It was amazing. That night we went back to the hostel and they gave us wristbands for a club in town which was giving away free drinks as we were staying at the hostel. It was really funny. We went with a group from the hostel. We were on the dance floor when the announced there was going to be a dance competition. So everyone left the floor and I (emma) wound up being partnered with some random french guy who looked like he had never seen a girl before and judging by his moves he really really hadnt!!!! It involved him having to lift me up (luckily the trek had made me lose a few pounds!!) and get down on one knee. In the end we won!!! It was semi embarrasing in front of a crowded nightclub!! We won a boozecruise and a free meal each. On the second day we got the ferry over to Toranga Zoo in Sydney. We had to get the ferry which was wicked as we went past the opera house and the bridge and saw all the sights. The zoo was really really good and the animals were fantastic. We got some brilliant pictures that speak for themselves. That night we had a quiz night at the hostel. Our team came last!! But we did win some stuffed platupus toys which sian and i very cleverly swapped with two other girls for two free tickets to Sydney wildlife world where they had all ready been. The next day us and 3 others from the hostel met out the front with our backpacks and headed to the train station. We got the train to Coojee but found out when we got there that there were no beds in any hostel in Coojee!! So we got on a bus and went to Bondi beach where sian and i got beds in one hostel and the other three got beds in a different hostel. After we were sorted in the hostels we met up again and hit the beach!! Sian and I did some really impressive wave jumping that day!!! The .waves were unbelievable. That night we had dinner in a backpackers restaurant were we sat on cushions to eat!! The next day Sian and i got the train back into Sydney and used our free passes to the wildlife world and also went to the aquarium. It was really good. Nothing like Brighton seaworld I can tell you!! That night we met the others back in Bondi beach and we had salad boxes on the beach for dinner. The next day we headed to newcastle for our housemate jaquies 21st birthday party. We stayed in a lodge with Kirsty Brett (her boyfriend) and jaquie. The party was really fun. We all looked pretty and danced the night away!!! The next morning we went back to Jax parents for a fry up and for her to open her pressies. Hope u enjoy the photos we have had an amazing week. we will write soon loads of love xxxx
