ahhhhhh what an absolutely fantastic blog! i'm welling up again!!!!!! The engagement sounds absolutely fab, even though I was giggling to myself at your trail of thought! I remember being v confused when Ian started to tell me how much he loved me when we were watching the sun set on hols, and I was like, "he's getting v emotional over a sunset, bless him!!" - then he gets on one knee!!! And I assume that is when you started crying??!!!! AHHHHH so happy for you - and the fact that he did it on the little tour thing you did is fantastic - I obviously don't know them, but judging from the pictures the people do look like a top notch bunch of people, they look dead friendly!!! So happy for you hon! Wish I was there with you!! although being 31 wks pregnant, I don't think I will be throwing myself off cliffs into the water - are you MAD???!!!!!! ha ha ha!! I'm such a chicken!!!!! I would be screaming "stop Em, stop!!!" if I saw you diving!! You're mental! But I love it!!!! Can't wait to hear all about Australia, bet you'll love it! Miss ya so much hon! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

eugh. just horrible. I'm feeling drained from reading that miserable transport mare - and the 55 hours ahead makes me feel sick. I'm exhausted just going to Brighton! you poor things, but at least you don't have the weather we have here to top it off! xxx

Wow what a journey (i have done a 26 hour before) and another to come 56 hours poor bunnies. Still the photos of the falls are most beautiful so glad you did not break your ankle(s) think of the cost of being put down. look forward to your next blog to share the pain and pleasure with you and your everlasting sense of humours. Take care love Debski (Debi Hall)

Oh Christo & Emma - I feel exhauseted just reading about the travelling you had to do togetto your destination - you said that the hotel has "mis laid" your booking....not sure if they found it as you susequently wrote about The Lodge? What a see saw of emotions - hope the memories of the white sand beaches will go some way to erasing the public transport plus! Thanks for sharingit with us - as always, I enjoy being an armchair traveller! Lots of love toyu both. xxxx

ohhh dear, a worrying read for a Mum !!!! But on a positive note, you've survived it and seen the sights - and as I have spoken to you both through Skype last night, I know you're both OK - so I can breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to you moving on !!! It's another brilliantly descriptive read, and as I read through each detail of your arduous trip I felt the frustration and upset, along with the beauty and pleasure !! Another notch on the world trip, now time to move on !!! Thanks for chatting to us last night, it was wonderful to see you both and catch up. Keep safe and dry !!! Love to you both. XXX

Hi Emma, You have an amazing Mum - I fear, Christo has never been so lucky....don't think that will change either! But I do have alittle something up my sleeve. We returned from Vancouver early this morning - so am struggling to keep awake - I have hopes of trying to emulate you with your blog and your phots - in the fllness of time - but I fear I am not so clever as you two computer whizzos - but I will try! Love to you both, Mum xxx

We couldn't have organised the surprises for you without the co-operation of the wonderful staff, who just couldn't do enough for us, to help make your birthday perfect. Ana was so patient and helpful, especially after my first, very roughly translated portuguese email asking for help, which prompted a lovely reply from her in very good English, gently suggesting that I write in English next time if it was easier for me !!!! Bless her. Just a real shame the birthday cards didn't arrive !!! Hope they catch up with you soon. The photos are superb, what a truly wonderfully pretty place. How lucky were you to have your birthday there?? Loads of Love XOXOX

Ohhh my word !!!! Thank goodness you're both back safe and sound !! I'm soooo glad I didn't know all this before you went. What an experience though. You'll remember that (maybe for the wrong reasons!) forever, and you'll be able to dine out on it with your friends and family for years after !!! Hope the bites are easing up now and you're relaxing back in civilization. Love to you both from Lin xxx
