Hey-Yo Friends!!
I just want to start off by saying THANKS! for checking out our blog and taking the time to read this and look at our photos!
We've had a great couple of days exploring Valparaiso, Chile. It's actually a UNESCO world heritage site, and we've absolutely worked out why! It's so different to anywhere either of us have previously been to. All the buildings are so unique - painted different colours, made of different materials and designed in their own individual ways. I'll be honest, it's not traditionally "pretty" like the Oxford's or Florence's of this world but it has an amazing atmosphere. The place and the people are so honest and unpretentious, the cultural heart of this city is also welcome of anything new to add to the pot, with little art shops and boutiques on every corner. We visited the home of Pablo Neruda, the famous poet, which summed all this up. And, still in the cultural mood, here's a little something from the man himself... :
The moral of my ode is this:
beauty is twice beauty
and what is good is doubly good
when it is a matter of two socks
made of wool in winter.
Hope you liked that - it's one of Neruda's and entitled "Ode to My Socks!" (Made me smile)
I think that's it from me today. Chris will probably do a far more entertaining and exciting entry at some point in the near future, for now though we're going to hit our local bar!!
Hope you're all well and we're missing you! Lots of love Em (and Chris) x x x x

Selina Hey - forgot to add that the photo is amazing, colour so vibrant that initially I thought it must have been a painting!, S xxx
selina just checking to make sure that I have missed nothing!! Madly gardening, strimming , clearing up after Roger & Toni! And joy of joys, harvesting blackberries - the ones that Toni didn't massacre with the hedge trimmer! Hmm, somewhat boring , by comparison! Spare key arrived safely today for your car Emma. xxxx
