So we headed for the mountains of Nemrut Dagi National Park to see the famous heads at the highest point. It is one of the windiest camps of the trip although when we got there it was very calm so some people braved putting their tents up and a group of us decided just to kip on the truck. We walked up after dinner to sit up the top and watch the sunset but it was too cloudy so we didn't see much and decided we would get up early to make it up again for sunri...

So then we headed onto Goreme which had yet more caves in the cliffs and a town at either side of our camp site so on our first day we took a walk down to the well-known fat boys bar for some lunch and I also stopped in a little jewellery shop and seen a pair of lovely earrings which I later decided I wanted to get on the way back but much to my disappointment they were goneL. We headed away from the coast and further inland after that and after a bush camp we reached Ilhara Valley and went for a 2 and a half hour hike to see the churches and houses made in the cliffs. Even though it was emphasised what exit to come off at. But we all still got lost including our tour leader and ended up at the end of the Valley and had to get our driver so at least we got to see it all!!

Our next destination is Olympus which is one of my favourites. It's a quiet little village and all the rooms are tree houses and it is very bohemian with cool chill out seating areas and just a very relaxed atmosphere. It is here that we celebrated David's 70th birthday and for it we had a fancy dress theme of the letter D.
