Hallo!

Well as I am home sick today, I thought that maybe it would be a good idea to update my blog, Im so sorry I just really suck at updating my blog :P

Well the last time I wrote was a while ago, before I went on vacation to the south of Switzerland and into Italy. My trip was quite beautiful and really different, maybe its the same with any country, but its really amazing in Switzerland how you go to a different part of the country and how different it is, in the South part of Switzerland they speak Italian, and its alot warmer there then in Zürich. I had a good time there with my host mom and host sister. It was so cool being there, the first day we were there we went on a biking trip around there and we even biked in Italy, it was so cool!!! The second day we went up this very beautiful mountain, it was so amazing up there and people even lived up there, that was so differnet!! The houses up there were made of stone, and I swear that I saw the Blair Witches house a few times! The last day we were there we went to a market in Italy, it was really cool, but also so confusing because you can bargain, and I have no idea how to do that and also with the Italian, it was tricky. Thank god my host mom could speak Italain!! Also I would like to clarify, that pasta and pizza in Italy, is AMAZING! I still cant believe how amazing it was!! After a good trip to the South of Switzerland and into Italy it was time for me to switch host families, it was hard leaving my host family, but I get to go back to them in four months I think, so Im really lucky in that sense!!

Now my new adventure has begun with this host family, so far its been really awesome!! The first week I was with them I still had break, and they had to work so I took the oppourinity to travel around Switzerland, I went to St. Gallen, Geneva (to the United Nations building, Thomas Champion I know your jealous) to Zürich and Basel. It was so much fun I loved it! Going to Geneva was really exciting for me, I always wanted to see the UN and even though it was pooring rain that day, it was one of the highlights of my exchange year so fun, I got a tour of the UN and everything! After vacation was over it was back to school for me. Its not that I dont like school, I just find it really hard to sit in a class for eight or more hours a day listening to only German, the Swiss schools are so different from back in Canada, they expect alot more out of their students and they have so much pressure here!!

Well I think thats all for now, like I mentioned before I have a rotten cold and should probably go and try and sleep some more, and try to breathe again :P Thanks for reading!
