Whelp. Fernando couldn't rent us the apartment due to a family issue. So after living on Craigslist for a good two weeks or so, a new apartment has been found. It's a nice 1 BR (so the microwave CAN'T be seen from the living room which doubles as a bedroom) and is located in Palermo Soho, the area we tried to live in at first. (Palermo, Palermo Hollywood, and Palermo Soho are all subsections of Palermo which is a "barrio"/neighborhood of Buenos Aires). Teresa, ...

Done. Decided. First month purchased; three in waiting. Our humble little matchbox awaits us in Palermo, what is and hopefully will be the greatest barrio in Buenos Aires. We are now OFFICIALLY headed South... We'll be leaving our homelands (Jackson, MS and Bar Harbor, ME) on September 18th to have our last American supper in a classy Miami airport restaurant (meal includes our last Pabst Blue Ribbon).
