hi everyone - sorry I havn't updated for a while, I am now in Hervey Bay - but I will catch you up with what we have been doing since we left Brisbane.
We arrived in Noosa while it was raining - which was quite annoying, but the place still looked really pretty with the black clouds covering it. ( it's abit touch and go when you travel in their winter for the weather - we have been quite lucky so far!). Our hostel turned out to be a over the road from where we had been dropped off, so that was great because we were already pretty wet. We walked upto our hostel, which is on a steep hill, and it reminded me of a building from the dirty dancing movie, all white painted wood and it was built into the national park rainforest. We loved it straight away - it was called the yha hostel. I still wasn't feeling very well since I fell ill in brisbane, so we just had a wonder around the town, which has cool shops and bars and we talked to some of the locals. Then we went for a sleep ( something we seem to do alot - travelling really takes it out of you) the next day, we caught the free bus to oz zoo, which takes about an hour and a half from noosa. The zoo was cool , we got to hold a koala within the first half an hour of being there, and the keepers walk around with animals, so I decided to go a stroke the python - I don't think becki liked that idea though!
After getting our pictures taken with the koala, we got to hand feed the kangaroos when you walked around the park with them, we took alot of pics and stoked them while they sunbathed in the sun. We couldn't go to steve irwins zoo without seeing the croc show, so we made our way to the crocoseam where we saw a MASSIVE croc roll about and try and eat the keepers. Was a good day and very tiring, so we decided our next and last day in noosa would be relaxing. We woke up and left for the ebach with our freind meredith who we had met in our dorm room. After lying on the beach for about an hour and thinking it was far too windy, we decided to walk through the national park rainforest to one of noosas many bays and see if it was more sheltered there. The walk was fun, we saw wild koalas up in the trees and the views were amazing, we could see all of the main beach and out onto the sea - where we were trying to do some whale spotting. We found a really nice little beach and met our friends nicole and matt - who we have travelled most of the coast with and we sunbathed there for the rest of the day.
We really liked noosa, and found it hard when we were both offered a job in the hostel - I would quite happily live there for a year - very nice town and great beach!!.
love you all, em xxxx
