We have safely arrived in Sihnoukville after a bit of a hair raising journey. The minivan probally did an average of over 100km/hour the whole 8 hours! Very scary at times, overtaking on corners and when there was on coming traffic-the rule seems to be that you beep if your going to overtake to warn the person infront and then if there is on coming traffic the bigger car gets the right of way. We stayed another night here just to explore the town a little more before we booked a minivan to take us to Sihnoukville. This morning when we woke up we decided to go to the next place on our list- Battambang. A quick 4 hour bus journey and we are here. As the bus pulled up about 50 tuk tuk drivers came to the doors all wanting to take us on tours of the town and find us the cheapest and nicest place to stay. Today we went on a day tour to see just a few of the many temples of Angkor. We started off by going to the breathtaking Angkor Wat; the main and most famous and beautiful temples of the lot, I can't begin to describe the size and all the detail of the temple. We have finally arrived. Again dropped in a city with nowhere booked and having to find a place to stay. But we found a nice English owned guesthouse, which has a swimming pool!!! This is a major thing as we haven't seen one since koh phagnan!
