When in Rome we went to go see the Pope. It was right outside his house/work place inside the Vatican. When we got there I was amazed. It seemed like there was millions of people. It was nearly impossible to get through the crowds of the eager Italians.

This is one of the churches we visited in Florence. If you look closely you can also see a girl eating gelato (me). Inside the church was beautiful. There were many old famous paintings that the tour guides pointed out. Florence was a very pretty city but it was overly crowded which made the experience less enjoyable.

. We visited the Basilica if St. Antony. It was one of the most beautiful basilicas I have ever seen. I think it's so cool how they can keep body parts of the saints for long (hundreds of years). Today I was finally elected to be a reader at mass. I had to do the first reading, second reading, responsorial psalm, and petitions. When I went up there I was supringly calm and didn't mess up/laugh.

Today we went to see the Colosseum. We went with our pilgrimage group and toured around for about 3 hours. Our tour guide took us in and out of the building. She also took us to the top of a large hill right beside it so we could get a better look. I think it's so cool how ancient Romans were so advanced. The artitictecture was so advanced and well thought out it seems like a job someone today would even struggle with.

So, apparently latte's are a big thing here. I don't really like the taste of coffee but they come with almost ever meal. I leaned that if you dump a bunch of sugar packets In the coffee it tends to taste much better. Scientifically, I don't see how coffee has much affect on people. Whenever I drink it I feel the same as I always do, but when someone like my dad drinks it they are jumping off the walls.
