hello from a very snowy England!!! There is over 4 inches of snow here that has fallen overnight - have just taken Raffles for a walk, and have some rather amusing pictures which I will email you with, or put on facebook!
Hope you eventually find the sun.

Hey guys,
Cairns was a bit dank for us too, tres humid, and rained. But it get sooooo much better v quickly, it is incredible how moving south makes a difference in a short space of time.
Air con.. luxury ! we had it, but only when the engine was running, and in light of the fact that the van was mid-engined, and our bed was.. well above the engine, it made for some sweaty nights ;).
You guys sound like ur having an immense time, i will be immensely jealous of u when u hit fraser island.
Not that im not already !

Hi guys. Sorry to hear its raining. But at least it reminds you of home - although its a lovely sunny but cold day here. I'm sure you've heard that England have at long last won a cricket match and a rugby match - so things are looking up there. but Watford lost again yesterday so Mum and me depressed-again!!
Enjoy the drive south. Love Dad xx

So nice to chat with you - sorry for waking you up but couldn't help myself! Snorkelling sounded fantastic but seeing sharks must have been a bit frightening. The van sounds great fun and I'm very pleased to hear that you have managed to get the air-con working with it being so hot and humid. Drive carefully lots of love to you both, Mum xxxx
