Hey all! Time for another brief update......We've been pretty busy the last few days. After Vegas and Death Valley we got to Yosemite National Park. The scenery was absolutely beautiful (we're starting to sound old!) but really was spectacular. On the first day we travelled through the Tioga Pass at about 10,000ft. There was snow on the mountains and a great big frozen lake which was pretty cool. Travelled across Yosemite valley seeing lots of cool stuff on the way - we will try to put the photos up soon. Loads of huge meadows, sequoia trees and waterfalls. Great big slabs of granite dotted all over the place as well! As we left the park we got to see a baby brown bear which was awesome.
After Yosemite we drove north up to lake Tahoe. Massive lake that would apparently cover all of California in 4inches of water! Anyways we chilled out by the pool and then took a trip to the west shore of the lake where Chris somehow managed to pop his shoulder out....wait for it......skimming pebbles! He's all good now (despite having a funny incident with a sink earlier), he won't let me type it as he is embarrassed so if u want to know you'll have to get me alone! Back to the lake - very clear and pretty with some snow around as well. Went over the state border again briefly to nevada where there were loads of random casinos. Managed to escape unharmed this time!
Travelled today to the Napa Valley via Sacramento. Had a brief look in the Capitol Building in Sacramento and got to see Arnie's office (well the outside of) and had a brief glimpse in but no luck spotting the big man! Got to Napa around 3 and looking forward to hitting the vineyards tomorrow - we don't know how we keep finding all these wine places!!Â
