Well, we have just spent the last 6 days in Byron Bay, after an over night bus up from Sydney. We had a lovely relaxed time here. Weather was fabulous and lots to do and see. What a change from being in such a big city as Sydney. Byron Bay was a lot smaller and lies right by the coast, which provided stunning views. During our time here we did lots of relaxing and having a few beers. I had my first ever surf lesson, which i thoroughly enjoyed. Not saying I will ever be a professional, though I did manage to stand. Spent a lot of time falling in the water, and fighting the current. It was amazing to eventually do. We were fortunate enough to be in Byron for their local markets. The markets were massive and provided lots of music for entertainment and local produce on the many stalls. We also took a lovely coastal walk up to Cape Byron light house, where we saw some lovely views. It was very hot, and I was thankful to see the top. much easier coming back as it was down hill........From Byron Bay, we also went to a place called Nimbin, an interesting place to visit, full of Aboriginals. I did not however sample the cookies....Off to Surfers paradise next for a couple of nights...
