OK so the bandwagon rolls on at full speed now as i enter THAILAND!!!!!!!!!!
I was not supposed to be here yet, i had planned to head up to Laos first, however i need to go to Bankok to change my RTW flights. More on that to follow.....
So after only 2 weeks in Cambodia, i have to say goodbye. Although i was only there for 2 weeks, i really fell in love with the place. After all they have been through, the Khmer people really show true spirit in still being able to smile through all the pain that must be hidden underneath. I spent the last few days in the south and it was great to see every kid waving hello and chasing my motorbike down the street. Everybody i came into contact with was so friendly and they made my time there all the more special.
Of course i have loads more travelling stories to tell, but most will have to be told over a beer when i get back home (some i could not write on here if i wanted to!) ha ha I had a great trip up a mountain in a 4WD to see an abondend hill station which was the most scary place i have ever seen it was like a scene out of the shining! I could have walked around there with a video camera and made the best horror movie! The road up and back was the worst road i have EVER travelled on it was absoloutly LITTERED with pot holes, then the car ran out oil and we had to roll down the mountain. Then the front wheel fell off and we had to walk the rest! All the time it was raining like never before and we nearly ran into a 'golden orb' spider web.....not one for you to see Serena!
The next day i drove 2 hours to the next town, only to find there was no ATM's there, and i had 10p on me so i had to drive all the way back!!!
Anyways like i said i got loads of stories but i will leave that for another time.
SOOOOOOOO..............here i am......Thailand!!!!!! And you never guess what?........it's the BLOODY wet season!!!!!!!! It starts all over Thailand around now and i must say ima little pissed off but i am determined to make do and still have a blast. Im currently on an island called Koh Chang and i will be here for 2 more days, before making my way up to Bankok, then up to the north, and into Laos.
Wish me luck!!!!!!
