Hello edolioscar. Would love to read a bit more detail about the 'ordinary' things of life as you find it... liked the entry of oscar's from Berlin. Not so sure about the er, poem. Best not give up the day jobs eh! xxx

Hi folks, lots more info now Oscar has arrived or at least more words. the poem sounds like you have had your fair share of vodka as well as the natives. Is it cold and snowy enough yet? is it getting progressively cheaper the further away you get from home or does it change as you go in and out of major cities ? are the shops the same as here or are there lots of things you cant buy, and have you seen anything that you were not expecting to see? when do you get to stay in one place for longer than a day? keep on bloging, all the best yous travellers x
Oliver
We stayed in the cheapest hostel we could find in st petersburg called the Hostel Metro Tour. Our room had eight beds with shared bathroom and kitchen. The place is more like a bedsit than a hostel with most of its occupants russian military or firemen living there on what seems like a full time basis. At first the place is quite daunting but as all the russians are either asleep or drunk it can be a funny/interesting place to stay.
Tell your friends to look at www.hostelbookers.com for other possible hostels and Ill speak to them when I get back if they want any other infomation and what not.

So impressed. You've moved all over the continents so fast. Wasn't sure how often you'd update the blog. Keep forgetting other cultures are advanced enough to have the internet as well. I'm a student and I don't een have ample internet access. Anyway, Budapest sounds harsh. Keep us updated don't slack on your last two entries. Have a good time out there, keep representing the RBM. Reading about other cultures inspires me to sample a taste... and by that I mean go out and have a kebab.
