Soon after arriving in Cairns, I headed off for a 2 day trip to the tropical Cape Tribulation along with Matt, Hanna, Tasha and Chris (whoI'd just rejoined up with in Cairns). We stopped off on a few places on route for a few small walks around the jungle fringes and also saw myself jumping off a rock straight into a rapid with Hanna, which then saw me dragged all the way down stream which was entertaining.
After arriving at our hostel for the evening we found out that we were entitled to a free Salsa lesson in the evening, and as Ive said no to pretty much any activity this trip I decided that I better take part- so about an hour later I was shaking my hips and swinging ladies around with various degrees of success.
The second day Matt and I decided to go out to the reef and do some more Scuba Diving. This time we were taken doen for a lot longer and a lot deeper aswell, and saw an amazing aray of creatures and coral- the highlight when I stubbled across a giant Bull Stingray which had a span of over 2 meteres and a barb which looked like a big log of wood- it was so big that fish were swimming in its ears! This was the same breed that got Steve Irwin so i kept a safe distance of about 1 meter before swimming off!
