We arrived on Koh Samui by ferry and caught a bus to Chaweng where we would be staying. We checked into the 'Ark' Bar and got settled, then bikini-ed up and hit the beach which was just on our doorstep! :) It was baking hot and think i got a little too much sun that day! Opps!!! Out for dinner that evening and decided to try the food at Ark Bar. Its a really nice modern open air bar and the food was delicious- it had THE BEST THAI GREEN CURRY in all of Thailand!! :) This made me very happy and Adam even tried the Beef Pad Thai (i nabbed a fork-full of course, and can confirm it was scrummy!!) We eat here most nights at tables ON the beach, sampled the yummy cocktails and chillaxed!
Next few days where mainly spent on the beach, soaking up as much sun as possible before returning to grey wet Ireland :(
Enjoyed walks along the beach, the water is warm and crystal clear here! Again, we munched on the tasty buttered sweetcorn on the cob :) and Adam enjoyed his Singha beers :) No mozzie bites im pleased to report after the 'Eating' i got on Phi Phi- seems the 95% Deet is the winner!! Yay!!!
On our second last day on Samui, we took a morning tour to an Elephant Park and had the opportunity to take an Elephant ride- what an experience that was, a bit bumpy and scary but with Adam taking the reins i was in safe hands! We brought some bananas for our Elephant and he wolfed them down- greedy monster!! :)
We loved our time on Samui and favoured it over Phanang as it is a bit 'Jungly' for my liking! hahaha :) Tho Hat Rin beach is lovely!
We flew back to Bangkok for our last two nights in Thailand. Bangkok airport is big but not as scary as everyone always says..we stayed in a lush serviced apartment within a hotel on the Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok, spent the next day soaking up the last of the sun and warmth at the hotel pool and then hit the markets in the evening to grab up some bargains- bought loads , bags, sunnies, clothing and jewellery- feared i would not fit everything into my luggage but i managed to- phew!!!
We were very sad to leave Thailand i have to say and its definately on our list to return :) We boarded our plane at 01.00am and waved 'Sawatdee' to Thailand...
Arrived back in the UK at 6.30am local time and froze with the cold! And that was the end...! :)
