It was a week of adventure and injury...unfortunately for me, I was the first to get injured. I sprained my knee with just 2 hours of snowboarding under my belt. The good news was that we had beautiful conditions during those 2 hours!
I was gutted and miserable for pretty much the rest of the trip...sorry to all my fellow travelers! I did manage to put on a few smiles for the apres ski but was more or less inconsolable when it came to the skiing.
Todd, on the other hand, had a brillant week of skiing and boarding. He pretty much explored the entire Espace Killy (Tignes & Val d'Isere) and was duly impressed by the steep and the deep.
As misery loves company, there were several others on our trip that got hurt...pretty much a new one each day: sprained wrist, dislocated shoulder, dislocated vertebrate, bruised ribs. It was the most unlucky group that I have every been on...fortunately, we are all back on terra firma safe and sound!

Mommalink Emily, I am so sorry to hear about your knee - was it the one that you played favorites to skiing in Alaska? What a bummer; hope you enjoyed other aspects of the trip - off the slopes....hugs, Elaine

JulieLink Bummer!, were there a few weekend warriors in your group?! We also went skiing this past week. Jacob was the star of the group with Emily excelling the most. Jacob hiked the Headwall and skied 42" of Alyeska Fresca! While Emily conquered North Face 4 times. Sure would have preferred skiing France with you! Miss you! Love, Julie
